 Was anyone else at the fight last night? We had good seats and it was awesome to see a bunch of fans packing the arena - place emptied out after Andre's fight.

Saw Rickey Henderson hanging out by his white limo after the fights.

First of all I would like to congratulate Andre for doing a fine job winning the WBA title. He did what he had to do to win. As far as headbutts... I noticed early on that there was the possibility of a head clash.  Andre kept his head down as you are suppossed to do. He would duck underneath Kesslers left hooks and wild right hands. Kessler would then fall into Andre. That would cause the head clash. I did not notice any elbows thrown from Andre, but my seat was halfway up the arena and I did not have a great view.
Just for the record Andre Ward is not a dirty fighter. He is a world class boxer that has yet to reach his full potential.  Congratulations again to Andre. May God protect you during this very tough tournament. All the best to you and your family. Next fight I will be sitting ringside....

Good Morning All:

 

On 21 November 2009, I was afforded the opportunity to photograph the Super Six World Boxing Classic and WBA Middleweight title fight between Andre 'SOG' Ward and Mikkel 'The Viking Warrior' Kessler.

 

Andre Ward won. Decisively.

 

He is now THE NEW, undisputed, undefeated WBA Middleweight boxing champion of the World. He is also 2-0 (won two, lost none) in the Super Six, Super Middleweight World Boxing Classic.

 

Even though I did not have ringside access, I was able to take over 2000 photographs, and was able to meet some fabulous and very interesting people as well!!
